Blessed are those who are invited

We have created this blog for the friends and family of Allan Hansen, as a way to keep you updated. Allan has been diagnosed with fourth stage cancer. Doctors have told us that this is a very aggressive form of cancer, and the prognosis is not good.

While no time frame has been given by doctors, and we know only the Lord knows the number of our days, we are treasuring every moment with him as those moments remaining may be few.
Please feel free to post comments on this blog, which we will share with Allan and Eunice.

We appreciate your prayers and concern at this time. We hope you understand that Allan cannot receive phone calls and visits right now. But please know that he and Eunice care very much for all of you.

"Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb. " Revelation 19:9

I met Allan and Eunice Hansen 32 years ago, when I was 22. Of all the people I have ever known, they have been my greatest inspiration. They have been good and faithful servants to the Lord and have touched the lives of countless people. I count it an honor to have known them, as I know so many others do too.

We love Allan! We have been coming to CRC since the early 90's and Allan always was warm, friendly, and a pure blessing to us. Both he and Eunice are very special and have been such a blessing in our lives! We are praying for Allan's complete healing!

We are so happy that Alan was completely healed, God's way today, as he entered into the courts of Heaven! We can see him in our mind's eye, dancing before his wonderful Lord Jesus on the streets of gold, there in Heaven!
We love you so much, Alan and we, who know Jesus, will all be joining you soon! We love you too, Eunice, so much, and know that you are in our prayers!

May God's Richest Blessings be yours! Gary / Linda Pamer

I send my love and prayers to all of the Hansen family and the staff members of CRC. Allan was like a father figure to me during the summer camps I attended with my grandchildren and like a grandfather to them. He baptized both of them in the creek and what wonderful memories we have of that special time and all the other times at CRC summer camps. What a beautiful legacy Pastor Allen leaves and what a mighty man of God he was and will always remain in our hearts. I'm writing this with tears of gratitude and joy. Love to you all, Jody Blanton and Donevan and Kasondra Karr

I'm bringing all of you all of our our love and prayers, my dear Hansen family and CRC family/staff. Although we are sad at Grandpa Allan's passing for our sakes, we rejoice that he is present with the Lord Jesus...and that he was not in pain. What a tremendous blessing God gave him and all of you, that his going was so simple and amid such peace. That is fitting, for such a faihful servant of the Lord as he.

Andy/Drew & family, Tony and Ruth asked me to give you their love, too. Grandma Eunice, I know this is both a joyful and a difficult time...just know that we are all standing with you, and praying. Tim, Julie, Terry, Ellen, Brad, Marilyn..and all the kids...we are here for you, whatever you need.

I want so much to come up today, or to call, but I sense the Lord saying just to stay home and love you from here, and pray for now. I hope you are all able to have some time of peace and solace with our Lord Jesus today...and time to rest. Love, prayers and hugs...always...Beth Fleisher and family.

God bless the Hansens and all of the other families and friends who love Alen and will miss him dearly! CRC will never be the same without him, but his memory and his love will live on. What a blessing he was and continues to be through his influence of grace, love and joy. I am glad to have known him even the little bit i did. His smile warmed my summer.

Dear CRC Family,
David and I just received a post card informing us of Allan's condition and we knew immediately that we wanted to write and tell him how much we love both he and Eunice. As soon as we went to the site we knew that we would not be able to tell him, yet we know that he knows how we feel and we are so thankful that he is rejoicing before the King he loves.
Allan and Eunice reached into our lives and deposited a rich source of love and faith that has impacted our lives and we will be forever grateful.
We want each of you to know that we love you and that you all are a blessing to us.
Our prayers are with you.
Eunice,
We pray the Lord's richest blessings of grace be upon you and your whole family as you walk through this painful yet joyful time. These are always the moments when God in all His goodness shines the brightest.

Allan and Eunice Hansen have been two of the most encouraging people in my life going back to the early 70's when we, together, started Renewal House. Once I visited Hansens in their beautiful Garden Grove ranch house and was shown the special room they had built on to their house...just so they would have a room for a person who needed a place to stay! I remember thinking that was an incredible thing for them to do. Some weeks later, turning on to a wrong street in LA, I discovered the big mansion that became Renewal House. Allan and Eunice moved from their beautiful home to one-half of the mansion's billiard room and that became their bedroom; their little private space. For years they reached out to hurting men and women whose lives had been wrecked by drugs. Renewal House became the first Lutheran-based drug rehabilitation center in America; maybe the world.

For the 33 years that Barb and I have traveled the globe singing and speaking, Allan and Eunice have been encouragers...every single time we have been together we have been blessed and encouraged.

Now Allan has crossed the finish line and celebrates in the presence of the Lord and of so many loved ones. We shall meet him at the Eastern Gate!

Love from Dave and Barb Anderson, Fellowship Ministries, Phoenix, AZ

Dear Eunice,Tim,Julie and family,
I came up to CRC for my first time back in the summer of 1980 at which I viewed the center a rest stop off the road to heaven. I received a card in the mail a couple of days ago and heard about the news and was tearful but happy at the same time that where Allen is there will be no more worries for we know that God will take us in His time and after getting on the computer to read the update and seeing that he had passed I said to myself its time.
Allen used to announce and be amused about me riding my bike from Portland to the center there and I would always think that it was always a reward waiting up there when I would arrive on my bicycle.
Allen and Eunice had a dream as we all should and really lived it out and now he is at home his dream will be lived out through a lot of people including myself and family. He was a man who followed the ways of the Lord and there was no self to get in the way of that. Allen you were a big impact on me and I will miss you but I am assured that I will catch up to you in a little while in heaven for like the word says we are but a vapor in the wind and life goes fast but if lived right again I am assured it will be eternal. Yes, I will be there for the memorial service and I'm sure it will be as he would like it a ''retreat' of its own where the spirit will be with us and we will rejoice with him and be filled.
One sign I will always remember that I hope the center will never take down is '' You Will Never Be The Same'' and awe how true that is His spirit is always the same PTL
One other thing I witnessed is that Allen had displayed a perfect example of what it was to be a Husband,Father,Pastor,Brother and much more in a world of term oil and Eunice you found a gold winner God blessed you greatly and God will continue to for we must continue on until He calls us in His own timing.
In Love with all of our hearts.
