Farewell to Allan

We wanted to let you know that early this morning Allan Hansen went home to be with the Lord. He passed away peacefully in the arms of Eunice in their home at Christian Renewal Center. We will be posting more here later today. Thank you for your prayers during this time.

Dearest Eunice, Tim & Julie and all of our wonderful friends and family at CRC,

We love you all so much, and have been keeping Pastor Allan in our prayers since we heard about his condition. I also know that many of my extended family up in Moses Lake (the Molitors) along with many in the Diacoginnis family have been continually praying.

My folks, Pat & Judy, mentioned on the phone last night how deeply they love Allan, and what a powerful and consistent influence he and Eunice have had on their lives over their entire married life . . . and as a result, on mine and my siblings, and our families, as well.

I was just writing a note, when I saw the post that Allan has gone to be with the Lord.

Oh.... we love you all so much!!!

May the Lord totally surround CRC with His perfect peace, especially right now.

What a tremendous heritage he gave us all. And what a legacy he left. And now, as dear Allan is face-to-face with His LORD and God, he will definitely be hearing those words, "WELL DONE, MY GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT. ENTER INTO THE JOY OF THE LORD."

We love you dearly,
Jon & Ann & family

Isaiah 26:3

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Dear Hansen family,
It is with tears this morning that I heard the news of Allen going on to be with the Lord. The tears are of deep joy imagining him completely whole and free in the presence of Jesus, but also tears of loss, he was such an amazing man of God here in the earth. What an influence and father he was to us all.
From the Wolfe family here in Bend Oregon, please know that our hearts and prayers are with you all during this time of adjustments. We are forever grateful for the ministry of CRC, and all of you.
{HUGE HUG} and much love,
Phil, Jill, Whitney, Jordan, Jessica, Stephanie and Levi Wolfe

P.S. I wrote a tribute to Pastor Allan on my Mission-Minded Life blog. Also, my parents had a special prayer meeting at their home last night, and prayed specifically for Allan's homegoing to be quickly released and full of the Lord's peace. Praise God for His mercy.

Dear CRC family,
I am so grateful to the Lord that He allowed me to be 'adopted' by you back in 1995. Allan's close walk with the Lord was a strong inspiration in my life, and I am going to miss his wonderful laughter and warm hugs. It is a joy to know that he ran his race and finished well, and that he is now in the presence of Jesus forever! My love and prayers are with you during this time.

Dear Eunice and all the Hansen Family:

Pastor Alan was always a treasure to me. From the time I was a little girl, he was the closest thing to Jesus that I ever knew. I will never forget the hugs I received in the courtyard at St. Pauls, when Pastor was still dressed in his pastoral robes, but always had his arms outstretched to give a hug. I can hear him laughing as I write this. Pastor Alan was a treasure to my whole family, Elmer and Hazel Larsen's tribe, and I know that they are excitedly welcoming him now and celebrating the Lord God in ways we can only imagine here.

It was this world's loss and heaven's gain today. I will treasure Pastor Alan in my heart always.

Eunice, I love you and will hold you up in prayer as you walk through these days, unfamiliar in their absence of Pastor Alan. May Holy Spirit bring His comfort to you in ways that surpass the hugeness of your loss.

I know there have been many angel visitations at CRC over the years. May you, in the coming days and weeks, hear their songs of celebration of this son who has come home.

God's blessings...Margie Larsen Dow

I didn't know Allan well, but I remember him. I remember CRC, I remember homemade bread, and I remember singing prayers around the table. He was a part of supplying a weary YWAMer with rest (and good food) more than once. I was blessed by his life!

I know that God will be with all of you while you wait to be reunited with Allan in Heaven.

God Bless You and know that folks are thinking about you!

In Jesus,

Jon D.

Eunice, you both have meant so much to both my sister and me through the years and gave us something no one else could. You and your family are uppermost in our minds and our love is sent.

Eunice, when Mom had to leave and go to her Dad’s funeral, you lived across the street at that time and took care of Barbara and me. I remember you quoted a scripture regarding having a clean home as you encouraged us to clean the house before Mom came home. (I used that same scripture with my own children). :-)

I remember sitting at your kitchen table and having such good meals and remembering Pastor’s prayers. And I still have and use your Banana Bread recipe!

I remember Pastor gently counseling me and reassuring me that I wasn’t at fault for being so uncertain about everything when Dad left to go overseas to work. Pastor had a way of lifting self-imposed guilt and I am forever grateful. He made such a big difference in my life.

I remember St. Paul's at its beginning and the men all working together on the first building and my Dad carrying loads of plaster on his shoulder. I remember standing on the roof at the Christmas pageant as one of the angels, singing in the choir and two years of Confirmation classes as Pastor gently explained and answered the questions of pre-teens.

I remember teaching Sunday school classes which continued on when I went to Germany. I remember St. Paul’s as being my bedrock in terribly lonely times and the two of you always steadfast and with welcoming smiles whenever you saw me. You have no idea how lonely I was all those years and what the two of you meant to me. What the two of you brought into my sister's and my life will always be cherished.

Thank you for all you have done for not only us but for a multitude of people with whom contact may have been lost through the years. You both made a marvelous difference for thousands when you consider the “down line” for each of us. And through it all, the name of our God is glorified.

And now I've heard Pastor has reached heaven before the rest of us. Eunice, know that you are loved by many of us who are praying for you and family.

Sent with much love from us both,
