It was just a little more than a month ago that Allan seemed so healthy and amazed all of us that at nearly 91, he was still going strong and feeling great. In fact, Helen , Eunice, Allan, Ardy and Zelpha took advantage of a special introductory weekend offer at the local Oregon Gardens in the brand new luxury hotel, something Allan and Eunice rarely enjoyed. Upon the first evening, they took a stroll through the gardens and later played an exciting game of Rummy Cubes, another rarity in their lives. In the morning, Allan and Eunice made their way to the outdoor hot tub, where they enjoyed the early morning sounds of the beautiful surrounding gardens.

A few weeks later in October, they attended their grandson Nico’s homecoming football game, which Nico’s team won taking them to the playoffs. It was an exciting game and a proud evening for the grandparents. Even though Allan had just been told by doctors that his prostate cancer (that he had been able to ward off for several years) had spread to the bones, Allan wasn’t fazed, looking to God for healing and His will. That is how Allan had always viewed adversity, and he was going to do the same this time too. They were at peace.

Less than two weeks later, Allan began experiencing symptoms, evidence that something serious was taking place. On November 7th results from a CT scan showed that the cancer had spread into his lungs and was an aggressive form of cancer. Amazingly, up to this point, aside from some discomfort, he has had relatively no pain.

We know that for many of you reading this Allan holds a special place in your hearts as he does in ours. Let us join together in prayer at this time for a very special man of God, whom we are privileged to call a friend.

We have known Allan since the early 90's and we have grown to love him and we thank God that we've been so blessed by him! He has prayed blessings over us, as a couple, and he reflects Jesus in his life, all the time! The presence of God is all around him. We are praying for his complete healing!

We love you Allan!

Many remember the Sinclairs, & how my mom would stay every summer @ the CRC with nearly all of her 12 kids in the early 70's. If the CRC was never established I wonder if I would still be able to witness nearly everyone in my family walking with the Lord today!!!
I had pastor Allan's instant approval when he first met Charlie, and later when he agreed to stand in for my father, and gave me away up the hill @ the little chaple. What a day it was!
No words can describe the treasured experience it has been to have known, and been loved by Pastor Allan! His life was like a missing page from the Bible! This man was truly like everyone's father when they came to the CRC, like Abraham!! This passing is profound, and graceful, and monumental! If my tears have filled a thimble, there must be thousands of thimble fulls out there to pour into one huge bat of wonderful memories, and so many thank you's, and so many lives that are serving the Lord because of this one, who was obedient. May we all strive to surrender our own lives, and follow Christ as he so profoundly did! We will see him again, along with so many other awaiting us, stay close to the Lord, and never take one day for granted, you never know how much your life can mean to another soul!

Maggie Sinclair,
I remember you well. Praise God that your siblings all love the Lord. CRC had a major impact on my children's lives too.

Dear Eunice, Tim and families,
Hearing the news of Pastor Allan's passing brought on a flood of fond memories of the summer of 1976 that I spent there working with all of you. Such an important influence on my soul.
So many look back and wonder "what if". I look back and say "only because"!
Thanks to all of you and Pastor Allan for the guidance given without question. Pastor Allan is in great company and we look forward to meeting him there!
Peace and love to all of you!
